2025-26 Calendar of Holy Days for our Spiritual Life in Christ

(all evening Holy Qurbanas begin at 6pm, and the prayers beforehand about 5:15pm. People are invited to bring/purchase food to eat after Qurbana, but are not required to stay for the Agape Feast after Qurbana)

September 14	Sunday 9:45am - Feast of Holy Cross Qurbana , potluck
October 19	Ordination of Gary Edgington to Sub-deacon & visit by His Grace Mar Ivanios
November 2	Church New Year, Celebrating the Feast of St. Gregorios of Parumala, & All Saints Day, Potluck
December 1st through 24th	Nativity Fast and preparation

December 24th	Wednesday, 6pm - Qurbana for the Nativity of Jesus Christ our Lord! 5pm Evening Praises of Christmas
December 25th	Christmas morning no Holy Qurbana, observed the night before
Jan. 1	Thursday 9:45am - Qurbana for the Circumcision of our Lord
Jan. 5	Monday, 6pm - Epiphany!/Baptism of Christ!/Denaho! Timkat! Bring empty containers to receive Holy Water +
Feb. 1 to Feb 4	Fast of Nineveh begins evening of Feb. 1, ends on evening of Feb. 4, with Feast of Jonah
Feb. 2	Monday - 6pm, Entry of Our Lord into the Temple Blessing of the Candles! Bring your own candles or buy from gift shop to be blessed by the priests
*Feb. 4	Feast of Nineveh, 5:15pm Evening Praises, followed by dinner, Location To Be Announced

No Fasting even Wednesdays and Fridays between Feast of Jonah (Feb 4) and the Great Fast, (March Feb 23). Last 2 weeks to eat meat, fish, eggs, dairy, and sweets before the Great Fast. Let us be strong and grow in Spirit and Truth +

Feb. 22	Feast of The Wedding of Cana! Begin with a Feast Start the fast Sunday night Feb. 22, toward Resurrection Sunday
Feb. 22, Same Day	Service of Reconciliation/Shubkono to give us a day devoted to asking each other for forgiveness, and an opportunity to forgive as Christ forgives.
March 24	Tuesday, 6pm - Qurbana for Annunciation to St. Mary, and Mid-Fast Qurbana, 6pm
April 3	Friday, 9:45am - 40th Day Holy Qurbana, morning praises 9am
April 4	Holy Qurbana 9:45am Christ’s raising St. Lazarus, morning praises 8:45am, followed by breakfast and Palm Sunday set-up, volunteers needed +Bring Flowers and/or flower petals to throw! Receive the blessed palms+

April 5	Palm Sunday of Hosannas! 9:45am Holy Qurbana, 8:45am morning praises *Evening prayers every evening, Sunday through Thursday at 6pm, dinner to follow*
April 8	Wednesday (eve of Holy Thursday) 6pm - Passover Qurbana, evening prayers begin 5pm
April 10	(Friday) Great Friday of the Passion of Christ; 10am morning prayers; 12 noon - Prayers for the Passion of Christ, veneration of His Cross, and His burial, drinking the gall as a remembrance of His suffering for us
April 11	Holy Saturday Qurbana 9am and morning praises, 8am for Christ’s Annunciation to the Dead, followed by breakfast and set up for Resurrection

April 11th	6pm Prayers, Holy Qurbana, and Feast!
April 12th	Resurrection Sunday! (Qymtho/Easter) Observed the night before
April 13th to 18th	Bright Week!
April 19	New Sunday Egg search for kids! (Easter eggs, candy, etc. to remember Resurrection Sunday makes all things new!)
May 10th	Mother’s Day Blessing for all mothers and Lunch?!
May 20th	Wednesday, 6pm - Holy Qurbana for the Ascension of Jesus Christ into Heaven, evening prayers 5pm, potluck follows
May 31st	Feast of Pentecost! The Birthday of the Holy Church!
June 5th	Holy Qurbana for Golden Friday, 9:45am, morning praises 8:45am
June 16 till 29th	Fast of the Holy Apostles, begin fasting on evening June 15th, until Qurbana for Holy Apostles
June 21st	Father’s Day, Blessing of fathers, and Lunch!?
June 28	Holy Qurbana for Feast of the 12 Apostles
June 29	Monday, 9:45am - Holy Qurbana for the Feast of Sts. Peter and Paul
July 5	Celebration of Apostle St. Thomas’s Feast!
August 1st til 15th	Fast of the Dormition of St. Mary, Start the fast on evening of July 31st until Holy Qurbana for St. Mary
August 5th	Wednesday 6pm - Holy Qurbana for the Feast of the Transfiguration, 5pm Evening Praises
August 14th	Friday 6pm - Qurbana for the Dormition of St. Mary, evening praises 5pm, dinner to follow
